Position Summary

Headworks International Inc. is seeking an experienced and ambitious Controller to join their dynamic organization of Companies focused on bringing water reuse to municipalities and industry worldwide. Qualified candidates must demonstrate proven experience and expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures in companies with international and manufacturing exposure. The career path for this role is CFO of the Company in the near term for the right person, so the candidate should have strong analytic and negotiating skills, excellent forecasting and long range planning experience, ability to negotiate with banks, insurance companies and sureties, and proven ability to build a strong finance support team. The successful candidate will be passionate about details with a collaborative spirit to help colleagues in other departments as well. The Controller will be part of a team of four senior management team members advising the CEO and guiding the growth of the Company as we scale up.

 

Essential Functions

  • Review and maintain the organization's multi-divisional accounting principles, practices, procedures and initiatives in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage the accounting department functions and personnel for all domestic and international entities.
  • Create and monitor career growth paths for Finance Department team members.
  • Maintain cash flow projections and identify the cash needs of the business.
  • Review terms and conditions of international letters of credit from the Company’s customers, negotiate terms and monitor compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with bank reporting requirements as well as those of local, state, and federal governments.
  • Prepare and file state sales tax returns.
  • Work with outside accounting firms to prepare annual Audited Financial Statements and federal and state income tax filings.
  • Communicate effectively with the Company’s banks, investors and insurance/surety carriers.
  • Prepare financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports and present findings to top management.
  • Interact with department managers to provide consultative support for planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
  • Work with managers of various departments to prepare operating budgets.
  • Research and resolve international accounting, tax and financing issues.
  • Participate in routine evaluation of existing financial software systems and suggest upgrades and/or implement new systems as needed.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Oversee business insurance plans and participate in health care coverage analysis.

Qualifications

  • A degreed accountant with seven or more years of experience in hands-on controller positions involving cost accounting; percentage completion accrual accounting; and international accounting, finance and tax issues. CPA, Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting highly preferred.
  • Experience with international business including review and monitoring of letters of credit.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, including QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage or other similar software accounting programs and experience in analyzing and implementing ERM systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare budgets, financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Ability to function effectively in a smaller firm—possess “hands-on” accounting and finance skills while also having the ability to participate as a member of the executive team.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage multiple projects without missing deadlines.
  • Must be a US Citizen or hold an unrestricted permanent residency card.

Job Title: Sales/Application Engineer-Wastewater

Position Summary

Responsibilities include supporting the regional managers, sales representatives and potential clients by providing equipment and design recommendations, technical data and budgetary costs, and other supporting information.

Essential Functions

  • Provide timely response to requests for sales materials, technical information and miscellaneous support from company sales reps and customers
  • Prepare bid documents for final submittal
  • Prepare proposals and RFQ submittals
  • Review technical specifications and drawings as needed
  • Make sales calls and conduct Technical Sales Presentations to both engineers and end users.
  • Assist clients and representatives with equipment selection and layout
  • Send information packages and literature to customers and representatives
  • Follow up on sales leads, web inquiries, and other related inquiries
  • Update sales database, run reports and update missing data
  • Track pre-bid checklist (project specs, competitor data, bid form)

Requirements

  • Up to 10% travel in North America
  • Attitude: Ability to work in a high energy environment with limited direction and supervision

 

Qualifications

  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly on a consistent basis
  • Experience with mechanical equipment
  • Communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to complete many different tasks within given deadlines
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting program
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, representatives and engineers
  • Ability to review detailed project specifications and drawings

Education

  • Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited university
  • 0-3 years related experience preferred

Job Title:  Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Summary

Headworks is currently seeking an entry level Mechanical Design Engineer. Must be well versed with 3D design and detailing using Solidworks. In this position you will be part of the entire product development and process design team collaborating with sales, manufacturing, procurement, and marketing to deliver an innovative, quality and profitable product. Since the equipment is sometimes sold as a system, experience in the creation of P&ID’s , piping design, instrumentation, aeration systems, mechanical mixers, blowers and pumps is preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Design and detail wastewater treatment equipment using the information supplied by senior engineers, sales team and customer specifications.
  • Generate BOM and interface with purchasing in the procurement of designed components.
  • Prepares Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), General Arrangements (GA), and preliminary Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for incorporating in proposals and bids.
  • Prepare Fabrication Drawings for piping skids and skid mounted equipment
  • Prepare Fabrication Drawings for Mechanical equipment for waste water treatment plants
  • Assists with processes, tools, and systems for project estimating that are accurate and efficient.
  • Communicates effectively and appropriately externally with the client and internally with project resources and stakeholders, as required.
  • Ensures that company procedures and design methodology is consistently applied including all required project documents filed as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 1 to 2 years experience in developing 3D models, creating manufacturing drawings and generating BOM.
  • In depth knowledge of SolidWorks. Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Visio.
  • Knowledge of advanced wastewater treatment and water treatment systems for biological process based industries like food processing, beverage, meat, pulp & paper, etc. is an added advantage.

Job Title:  Field Service Technician

Position Summary

Headworks is seeking an entry level Field Service Technician to install, repair, maintain, and adjust our equipment in the field.

Essential Functions

  • Assemble, calibrate, test and troubleshoot mechanical components and circuits, harnesses, and instruments.
  • Working independently, and while interacting with customers, install, start-up, performance test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer locations.
  • Inspect and test equipment prior to shipping to customer.
  • Train customers on theory of operation and on operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Create and maintain service records and reports using the appropriate software such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Make product improvement recommendations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • 0-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Practical experience in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment required.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and industry codes and standards.
  • Ability to organize tasks and schedule work so that it is completed on time.
  • Ability to effectively perform work independently or within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required: skilled at written and oral communication, able to work constructively with customers and code enforcement officials, able to effectively explain function of equipment to customers.
  • Bilingual helpful but not required.
  • Valid U.S. passport or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
  • Ability to operate various tools and instruments including hydraulic tools, drills, grinders gages and meters for electrical components.
  • Previous experience with Wastewater Treatment Equipment a plus.
  • Welding experience, especially on Stainless steel a plus.

 

Job Requirements

  • This position does require the ability to travel extensively, up to 95%. Overnight travel is a requirement. It also requires the ability to work holidays and weekends. International travel with passport required.
  • Practical experience in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment required.
  • Possesses and exhibit high moral and ethical standards.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must have or be able to obtain TWIC card.
