Position Summary 

This position is responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties, performing and coordinating office administrative duties, and storing, retrieving, and integrating information for the support to our CEO.
 

Essential Functions 

  • Manage incoming correspondence, including telephone call screening; mail sorting and possible email prioritizing would be performed by this position.
  • Clerical support to CEO (Organize and maintain paper and electronic files)
  • Dictaphone transcription from CEO
  • Travel arrangements for the sales department (both Domestic and international flights and hotels, transportation) incl. itinerary coordination and planning
  • Contact management in Outlook and CRM database (currently SalesForce)
  • Planning and scheduling internal meetings, conference calls, web based presentations
  • Monitoring CEO’s email traffic and follow-up accordingly
  • Follow up on trade show participation by sales department (mailings, databank updates, etc.) 
  • Run various weekly reports for CEO and follow up on resulting required updates by various staff members
  • Create spreadsheets, compose correspondence, manage databases, and occasionally create presentations, statistical reports, and documents as assigned.
  • Update PowerPoint presentations with new text, photos (as directed by sales staff)
  • Control deadlines of projects assigned by CEO to various staff
  • Special event planning and coordinating.
  • Coordinate employee training and seminars.

  • Draft of newsletter articles
  • Backup support for receptionist on telephone overflow.

It is important for this position to use discretion, good judgment, organizational or management ability, initiative, and be able to work independently.  Personal tasks will be assigned on a routine basis as part of the regular job duties.

  • Must have exceptional clerical perception to proofread typing with typing skills of 80+ words per minute.
  • Must be adept with using Dictaphone and taking dictation.
  • Excellent computer knowledge of various software applications to perform functions is required, including, Excel,   PowerPoint, Word, Sales Force, Adobe Acrobat

Position Summary 

Responsibilities include supporting the regional managers, sales representatives and potential clients by providing equipment and design recommendations, technical data and budgetary costs,

Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide timely response to requests for sales materials, technical information and miscellaneous support from company sales reps

Essential Functions

  • Identifies, qualifies, and interfaces with outsourced manufacturing facilities and component suppliers throughout the world with input from Engineering and Manager
  •  Works with Sales and Customer Service to update and maintain quotation calculations to insure accurate cost estimates
  • Negotiates requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors with supervision from Manager
  • Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations
  • Ensures that commodities and components are delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the Company
  • Assists in inventory cycle counts and management
  • Assists with shipment of spare parts orders

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline a plus.
  • 4 or more years’ experience in buying and/or procurement; 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Understands both metric and imperial measurement systems and documentation and design standards;
  • Ability to take off measurements from design drawings;
  • Highly organized;
  • Experience making recommendations/decisions using fact based analysis. Able to analyze and use data appropriately;
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as any internal policies (e.g., code of ethics) or procedures to ensure that the behavior exhibited by the organization is honest, ethical and professional; and

Job Title:  Regional Sales Manager

Position Summary 

Responsible for maintaining current municipal business and developing new business opportunities for Headworks International in western United States and corresponding part of Canada.  Direct, manage, coordinate, and execute Sales and Marketing activities with internal sales personnel and external Manufacturers Representatives. Participate in the evaluation and integration of new products. Work closely with marketing personnel to develop sales and marketing tools. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing and accounting functions to capitalize on sale returns and provide proficient customer service. Reports to the Director of Sales for North America.  

 

Essential Functions 

  • Manage a schedule rich in direct interaction with current and potential clients
  • Identify key stakeholders and schedule field visits to discuss product offering
  • Conduct sales calls and perform Technical Sales Presentations to engineers and end users
  • Build relationships with all the key stakeholders in the wastewater industry
  • Diligently follow-up with the clients until an award or signed contract is completed
  • Convert potential projects into proposals/preferential specifications according to priorities
  • Recruit and train Manufacturers Representatives, ensure they are knowledgeable about product offering and understand effective sales techniques to increase sales and profitability
  • Increase visibility and awareness of Headworks International in the assigned territory through attending relevant tradeshows, exhibitions, and conferences
  • Consult with the Sr. Management regarding sales policies, product revisions, and pricing changes
  • Keep Senior Management abreast of market changes and new sales leads through reports and frequent communication
  • Plan/maintain accurate records of travel, meetings, telephone calls, proposals, and sales
  • Assist in the development of corporate sales plans, forecasts, and marketing plans
  • Must have a clear understanding of products, services, and capabilities of Headworks International
  • Must have an understanding of the wastewater industry in the assigned territory: its stakeholders, major players, and business climate

 

Examples of Initial Deliverables 

Although not a complete and comprehensive list of tasks, the following is an initial roadmap for the expectations of the first few months in this position; this plan may evolve if business needs change:

  • First 30 Days: Become familiar with the existing and ongoing sales efforts at Headworks. Establish contacts with current representatives, distributors, and key customers. Learn the key selling points and technical aspects of equipment and systems. Gain a basic understanding of the company's systems and procedures, including but not limited to databases and sales management systems.
  • First 60 Days: Develop a strategy to manage existing activities and new business development. Review with Senior Vice President to ensure the strategy is in line with the company's overall strategy. Understand the process of reviewing projects and quoting basic equipment. Shadow other Sales Managers to learn best practices and sales culture.
  • First 90 to 180 Days: Begin implementation of outlined strategies and plans

 

Qualifications 

  • University degree (science/technical preferred)
  • 5+ years of work experience in the water/wastewater industry
  • Wastewater background with in-depth understanding and knowledge of screens and screening handling equipment or biological process knowledge, ie: activated sludge, carousel systems, SBR, RBC, and MBR processes
  • Experience working with Manufacturers Representatives
  • Self-disciplined and possess excellent communication skills
  • Team player committed to working with a team of highly motivated sales personnel
  • Must be an excellent negotiator and closer
  • Sales experience preferred

 

Job Requirements 

  • Travel required: 30% - 50% of the time
  • Attitude: Ability to work in a high-energy environment with minimal direction and supervision

Position Summary 

Headworks is seeking an Application Engineer Grade I, that will work under the direct supervision of a Senior Project Manager and assists in the planning, organization, control,
integration and completion of projects from initial customer contact and bidding, through manufacturing, shipment, installation and final sign-off.  Interfaces with domestic representatives to provide timely answers to questions regarding potential projects and current projects in process.  Supports internal and external sales efforts and coordinates engineering, procurement and manufacturing to assist in the management of a timely and cost effective project completion.

 

Essential Functions 

  • Under the direct supervision of a Senior Project Manager, provides enquiry and technical support to the company sales organization
  • Prepare, on a timely basis, domestic quotations for review by the Senior Project Manager
  • Assist in the planning, organization, control, integration, execution and completion of projects and orders.  This is to include, but not be limited to;
  • Preparation, monitoring and control of all project schedules and milestones
  • Preparation, review and timely completion of all project submittals
  • Review of appropriate manufacturing instructions and documentation
  • Review and approval of purchased materials and schedules O&M manual preparation and submission
  • Shop test documentation
  • Shipping (means and most efficient cost)
  • Completion of final shop tests and acceptance
  • Support Project Manager to ensure timely completion of projects and consistent implementation of design modifications
  • Develop schedules and recommend solutions to resolve engineering design and test problems
  • Review design changes, specifications and all documentation releases
  • Monitor project expenditures to remain within established limitations
  • Provide, where necessary and in a timely manner, interim and completion project reports
  • Assists in PO Terms and Conditions negotiations

 

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of project management experience directing activities of increasing complexity
  • Graduate of a four year Bachelor of Science program, or equivalent degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Understanding of metric and imperial measurement standards and practices
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (minimal travel required)
  • Highly computer literate – Excel, Word, Access, AutoCAD and Solidworks skills is a plus
  • Ability to clearly communicate, both orally and written
  • Desire to develop project management and managerial capabilities
  • Ability to work in the United States of America
